Singing all the day long

My Christian nugget,  You are a delight in our family. Every person in our family can't help but smiling at you as you do all the cutest 2 year old things.  You love rocks. You try and carry 3-5 large rocks into the house while trying to get the door open. Sometimes you'll yell at the door, Ma! Ma! until I open it. You get very upset if I move your rocks back outside.  You love to sing. When we're in the car, those are your greatest performances. But we also get serenaded at meal times occasionally, or recently, kayaking down the spanish fork river. You don't just sing, you BELT! So loud, its hard to carry a conversation.  You talk a lot. Some of which, we can understand- more so everyday. But you have been talking as if you have known english your whole life. There are phrases like, I want down, I want that, bottle, geenky (binky) Jesus, tummy, Ma, Da, Nen nin, Eff, E, Sussell, Lela... You recently love swinging in the house and are getting braver as we push y...

One years old!

Christian my sweet baby.  You just turned ONE! I cannot believe it. I can easily say your first year was one of the best years of my entire life.  You are the type of baby that loves to be carried and loves to crawl around. You can be put in your bed to put youself to sleep and you can be rocked to sleep. You are content to be spoon-fed or you are happy to shovel the food in your mouth with your own hands. You're happy with the toy you happen to be holding and you're fine with Estella taking it from you. When you were a new eater you only liked food that was well seasoned and delicious (That's the Cooper in you), now you like lots of foods. When you were about 6 months old you loved to play with the plastic snap that goes to your changing table it was so cute like you were so excited to see that strap at every diaper change.  When you're outside you hangout out by the back porch waiting for someone to open the door. When you're inside you sit by the backdoor waitin...

8 weeks

My sweet baby Christian, Its hard for me to believe how much I love you. Like I feel like my heart might just explode when I look into your innocent, darling face. You are a miracle straight from heaven. I feel so grateful to hold you, nurse you care for you and be your mother here on earth. You look at me as if you know all the secrets of heaven behind your beautiful eyes.  The year 2021 is an interesting time to live. Never has there been so much accessible knowledge. It is so neat to be able to interact with and be a apart of someones life across the world. Your aunt maralyn and uncle wade that live in Australia are only a phone call away and it is so special to feel like were a part of each other's lives.  The Covid-19 virus is still a trial on this earth. Though masks are almost non existent now, it is still spreading. It's a wonder what it will be like in your lifetime.  Can you believe you hardly ever spit up!? All my babies soaked me with spit up but you alm...

Christian's Birth Story

My sweet baby Christian,   You’re snuggled sweetly asleep in my arms right now and I could stare at your little face all day. You are straight from heaven and my heart is filled with so much gratitude that you are here safe and sound.  Your pregnancy was hard on me. We felt that it was time to start trying for another baby in July but our first month we weren’t pregnant. We tried again in August and on August 30, we found out we were pregnant. We were so excited and grateful that our 6th baby was on their way! Because of Covid-19, kids were not allowed to come with me to the doctor. For Estella’s pregnancy, Dr. Jeff Nance would have the kids help him with the Doppler and measure me and he’d ask them about homeschool. Since they couldn’t come he offered to give me a few extra ultrasounds so I could take pictures home to the kids. It was fun to see you. At only 15 weeks old the dr could see your gender. He wrote it down and included a picture and put it in an envelope....
